Aueift at Sba, When the German gunboat Habicht, which arrived here yesterday (says a recent New Zealand Herald), was about 200 miles beyond the island of Uap, one of the Caroline Group, she picked up a canoe containing six natives, viz , one woman and five men, who had been without food for thirteen days. These people, accompanied by other canoes, all from Mokemoko, had been visiting Hap, when a great storm _ came on and drove them to sea. The inhabitants of Uap were much alarmed as to the safety of their visitors, and made anxious inquiries of the Habicht if anything had been seen of them. Of course the occupants of the canoe were very mnoh exhausted. Two other men had died before the man-of-war rescued the canoe, and one expired on board on the evening of the day the canoe was found. The remainder quickly recovered health and cheerfulness under the kind and careful treatment aeceived on board. They were landed at the island of Ifalik.
