FeBTITEE’S TELEGRAMS.! LONDON, December 21. The Heathen Colonists. A circular has been issued to the English clergy by Dr. Tait, Archbishop of Canterbury, in which the latter proposes that more direct communication should be established between the home and colonial Churches, with a view to encourage the spread of Christian knowledge in the colonies, and for the spiritual benefit of emigrants. MADRID, December 21. The North Borneo Trading Company. In the Cortes to-day, Senor Armio, Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced that a protest had been recently sent by Spain to England against the charter granted to the North Borneo Trading Company, and that diplomatic correspondence was now proceeding between the British and Spanish Governments in regard to the matter.
