[betjter's telegrams.] SYDNEY, December 21. Banquet to the Premier. A farewell banquet was given to Sir Henry Parkes, Premier, last night. Over 100 members of Parliament were present, together with a number of the leading citizens. The affair was a great success. Ministerial ChangesIt is currently stated that Dr. Renwick, Secretary of Mines, will succeed Mr Hoskins as Secretary of Lands, and that Mr R. P. Babot will be appointed to the portfolio of Mines. Small-pox-Two fresh cases of small-pox in Woolloomooloo have been reported to-day. BRISBANE, December 21. FireA serious fire occurred last night in Petrie terrace, in this city, resulting in the destruction of several houses. The insurances include £4OO in Now Zealand offices.
