The Customs duties colleoted at Christchuroh oa Saturday, December 17th, were as follows: —Spirits, £4B 13s 3d; cigars. .£9 15s; beer, .£ll lis; goods by weight, .£154 5s sd; ad valorem, .£-19 163 ; other duties, £l9 lis Id; Total, lis 9d. COMMEECIAI, TELEGEAMS. Dunkdin, December 19. Messrs A., and T. Burt have received the following oablegram from their London agents : "Prices are advancing for copper sheets, gas tabes, bar iron, and galvanised iron." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company have received the following telegram from Melbourne: —"The oat market still declining; suspend shipments." Hokitika, December 19. The share market has been active during the last week. Messrs Wade and Spence report sales—Golden Fleece, 17s 6d; Fiery Cross, 16s ; Eons Gold Mining Company, 20s.
