Intelligence is to hand from Tunis that certain Tunisian Government officials
havo forcibly expelled the workmen of Mr Levy, a British subject, from the estate at Eufida, the ownership of which has for a long time past been in dispute. After the removal of Levy’s employees, the Tunisians installed a number of French workmen in their places, and the latter are now in possession of the estate. The Papal See. PARIS, December 14. The French Ultramontane Press havo lately published articles in reference to the situation of the Papal See. The papers concur in stating that the Pope’s position has become unbearable, and that the question of his Holiness’ departure from Rome in now seriously mooted.
