ASHBURTON, December 6. Political. On Saturday evening Mr Joseph Ivess addressed the electois of the Wakanui contituoncy in the Town Hall, South Rakaia, Mr N, Walsh in the chair. Nearly IC3 persons were present, the back of the hall being thronged. A portion of the audience were very unruly, shouting and yelling. Mr Ivess complained of being accredited with Communistic views by another candidate. Ultimately the meeting closed abruptly, owing to the interruptions, during the course of which Mr Ivess was obliged to call on Police-con-stable Bowse to restore order.
