Today’s quotations are, beef, 37a 6d ; mutton, 10s 6d. The stock of tallow in London on Ist inst. was 11,300 casks. Colonial breadstuffs are without quotable change. The relations between the Austrian and Roumanian Governments are at tho present time much strained over the question of the navigation of tho Danube. Austria has in tho meantime suspended diplomatic communications with tho Roumanian principality until Count Kalnocby, tho new Austrian Premier, has examined into tho points in dispute between the two countries. PARIS, December 3. Tunisian AffairsRonostan, the French resident at Tunis, has arrived in this city, and it is currently believed that he has been superseded in his position, though nothing definite is yet known. Gambetta, President of the Council of Ministers, made a speech to-day, in the course of which ho stated that his Government would not object to the European control of affairs in Tunis if 1 such was desired by tho Powers.
