[“Argus” Specials.] LONDON, November 21 Hopes are entertained that a general rising of the Transvaal natives will be averted. Many Kaffir tribes which showed a disposition to attack the Boers are now becoming quiet.

An outbreak in Egypt is considered imminent. The Ulemas, who compose the most intelligent and influential Egyptians, are encouraging a Fanislamio movement, which is spreading from the adjoining Mahommedan Slates. They are also causing much die quietude by their intrigues with the Egyptian army.

Russia demands the territoiy of Armenia and the right to collect the Armenian taxes, as a lien for the indemnity payable by Turkey. If these conditions are agreed to, she will guarantee the remainder of the empire. Tho cholera at Mecca is abating. O’Donnell, the member for Dungarvon and vice-president and hon. secretary of the Irish Home Rule Confederation in Great Britain, is e-sisting Sir Samuel Wilson in bis canvass for the seat of Londonderry County. Count Von Moltke, Chief Marshal of the German Empire, has resigned the command of the German army. Oalfrook lighthouse, in Bantry Bay, on the south coast of Ireland, has been destroyed.
