TO-DAY'S NOMINATIONS.
NAPIER, December 3. The Waipawa nominations are—Ormond and W. C. Smith. Sydney Johnstone has retired. For Hawkes Bay, Messrs Kussoll and Sutton are nominated. WELLINGTON, December 3. At the nomination for South Wellington to-day, Paul Ooffey, W. B. Edwards, Wm. Hutchison, Charles Hendrey, and O. J. Forward were proposed. The latter found no seoonder. The show of hands was —Ooffey, 56; Hutohison, 43 ,- Edwards, 18 ; Hendrey, 9. DUNEDIN, Deoember 3. Mr Barron was re-elected for Oaversham without opposition. For Roslyn, John Bathgate, Captain Soott, Edmund Hodgkinson, and David Millar, were nominated. The show of hands was— Hodgkinson, 20; Scott, 14 ; Bathgate. 11; Millar, 1. For the Peninsula—James Seaton, W. H. Cutten, M. Donnelly, and James Lewis, were nominated. The show of hands was Cutten, 14 ; Donnelly, 10 ; Seaton, 1 ; Lewis, 0. For Lawrence J. O. Brown and G. F. O. Browne are nominated. The show of hands was Brown, 51; Browne, 29. [PBOM OTJB COBBEBPONDENT.] ASHBBRTON, Deoember 3. Mr E. G. Wright was to-day declared duly elected unopposed for the Ashburton electorate, on Mr John Orr's proposal, seconded by Dr. Trevor. The proceedings terminated with a vote of thanks to the Returning Officer, Walter Martin.
