Parliament has been summoned to meet for the despatch of business on the 9th February. Punishment for Bribery-
Severe sentences of imprisonment have been passed upon persons convicted of bribery in connection with the late elections at Macclesfield and Sandwich.
The Irish Difficulty.
Mr Michael Boyton, one of the chief organisers of the Irish Land League, who was imprisoned on March 9th, has now been released. Several further arrests have, however, been made in various parts of Ireland, among them being Mr Ifillen (sic), on a charge of rioting at BmfP, near Limerick. Casas of refusal to pay rent are now becoming general in the west and south of Ireland.
