MAIL NOTICES.

Maili close at the Chief Poet Office for the following places (subject to the necessary altera* lions) as under TUESDAY. NOVEMBER 22. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana, at 12 30 p.m. ; late fee letters, 12.43 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanafca, at 1.45 pm. ; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only). Point de Galls, India, China, Japan, and the East, Aden, Mauritius, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, per express train to connect with Rotomahana at Port Chalmers, at 7 a.m. Late foe letters may be posted in the travelling post office van attached to the express train, on Wednesday, November 23rd. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on Saturday, December 3rd, and will be due in London on January 17th. Notice.—On and after Nov. 1, 1881, money orders will be issued in New Zealand payable at any town in Germany, and after Ist January next Money Orders will be issued in New Zealand payable in the United States of America.
