The Standard ” to-day publishes a telegram from Natal, stating that Mopoch, one of tho leading chiefs in the Lydenburg district of the Transvaal Republic, has declared war against the Boers, and that hostilities may shortly be expected. ALEXANDRIA, November IG. The Cholera Epidemic-
News is to hand from Arabia that cholera has now broken out at Djiddah, an important seaport on the Red Sea, sixty miles west of Mecca, where the epidemic has been raging for some time past. A number of deaths have already occurred at Djiddah, and the mortality at Mecca is stated to be daily increasing.
