MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Fost Office for tho following places (subject to the neoessary alterations) as under : WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15. For Northern Ports, per Grafton, at 1.45p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER IG. For thi United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only), Otego and Australian Colonies, per Wanaka (to connect with Arawata at Port Chalmers, for Melbourne) at 11.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.40 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. Note.—There will not be a supplementarymail for the United Kingdom per express. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on Saturday, December 3rd, and will be dne in London on January 17th. Notice.—On and after Nov. 1, 1881, money orders will be issued in New Zealand payable at any town in Germany, and after Ist January next Money Orders will be issued in New Zealand payable in the United States of America.
