The following race was run after we west to press yesterday : The Consolation Handicap of SO scvs, nomination 2 sots, to go to the fund, one mile. Mr Goodman's ch m Nautilus, 5 yrs, by Traducer out of Waterwitch, G.<t 71b (Thompson) I Mr G. P. Williams' ch g Talent, 5 yrs, Sst (Derritt) 2 Mr Horsford's ch g The Joker, 5 yrs, _7st (Hawkins) 3 Bandwick, EawJon, Coldstream, and The Poet, also ran. The start was a good one. Rindwick and Nautilus made the running, closely attended by Coldstream, the latter falling back at the last turn, Bandwick following suit half way cp the straight. The Joker now joined issue with the leaders, all three being hard ridden. Nautilus, however, showed the most pace, and won by half a length from Talent, who got home about the same distance from the Joker. Time—lmin. 43i?.ec. This brought one of the most successful seefc. ings of the C. J.C. to a conclusion.
