MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10. For Australian Colonies, at 7.30 a.m.; late fee letters, mail van express train at 8 a.m., to connect with Te Anau at Port Chalmers. For Akaroa and Otago, per Waitaki, at 9.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 9.50 a.m.; guard’s van, 10.20 a.m. train. For Northern ports, per Rotomahaua, at 1.15 p.m,; late fee letters, at 2 fp.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. Notice.—On and after Ist November, 1881, money orders will be issued in New Zealand, payable at any town in Germany, and after Ist January next Money Orders will bo issued in New Zealand payable in the United States of America. Note.—Wednesday, 9th inst., being Post-office holida}', ah branches of the Post-office will be closed on that day. The mails usually sent on the 9th will be closed on the Bth inst.. at 7.30 p.m., and as there will bo no delivery by letter carrier on 9th, tho Post-office will bo open on the night of the Bth, at 9 p.m., for the delivery of letters' usually taken out by the earners.
