A Swedish professor says that the world was over 10,000,000 years in forming, and another 10,000,000 in developing. That's going to a heap of trouble for suoh a world as this.
Wm, H. Vanderbilt's new house will have a doorstep twenty-five feet long, eight inche* thiok and fifteen feet wide. The idea was to give a tramp standing room while waiting for oold victuals. Arabella (on her toeß in a ehair, clutching convulsively at her skirts)—"Oh, Bridget! A mouse! A mouse! Come and catch it, quick!" Bridget—"Shure, mum, there's no hurry. If this one gets away, I oan get plenty more for ye, mum."
