Mr Fish received a vote of confidence in the South Ward last night. He said he would support the Government generally, but censured them for not earlier acting on Mr Bryce's advice. He was an uncompromising free-trader and a secularist in education, and would vigorously oppose the introduction of the Bible ; also local option unless aooompanied by compensation. MARTON, November 3. Electoral. Sir William Fox addressed a crowded meeting last evening and received n unanimous vote of confidence and thanks.
