Mailn close at the Chief Pout Office for the following places (subject to the necessary all-ra-tions) »» under : WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2 For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Point de Guile, India, China, Japan, the East, Aden, Manritius, Snez, the ■ Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, per express train, to connect with Bingarooma at Port Chalmers, at 7 a.m. Rfcistered correspondence at 5 pm. on Tuesday, Ist November. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post office attached to the express train on Wednesday. November 2nd. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5. For Fiji Wands, per Waitaki (to connect with B.s. Taiaroa, at Auckland), at 6.30 p m. For United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Cape ot Good Hope, &c. (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, and Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Waitafa' 3 as follows :—Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m. ; registered correspondence, at 5 p.m.; money orders at 3 p.m.; guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on December 20th.
Notice. —On nnd after Nov. 1. 1881, money orders will be issued in New Zealaud pajable at any town in Germany, and after Ist Jannary next Money Orders will be issued in New Zealand payable in the United States of America. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
