A match was played on Saturday between the Standard CO. and the Caledonian CO., on Latimer Square, which resulted in a victory for the Standard on the first innings by 51 runs. J. G-arty and H. Bowe were the principal soorers for the Standard, and O. Cusack and GK Smith for the Caledonian. C. Ousack for the Caledonian, and Q-. Bowe and W. Balfour for the Standard, bowled well Hirnnghout for their respective sides. A match between the Addington and Courtenay Clubs was played on Saturday last, on the ground of the former, and resulted in favor of Addington by 8 runs. Simpson 14, for Courtenay, and Smith 11, for the home team, batted well. The bowling of Turner, for Addington, was very good, his analysis showing 70 balls, 24 runs, 7 wiokots. The bowling of Easton, for Gourtanay, was also good, having six wickets to his credit. The scores were—Addington, 57 ; Courtenay, 49.

A match was played on Saturday last between the Catholic School and Suckling's CO. second eleven, and resulted in a victory for the latter by one innings and 4 runs ta spare. Heslop, 16, for the Catholio School, and Chapman, 15, were the chief soorers. White, Taylor, Balentyne, and R. Prebble, also played very well for the S.O.C. The scores were —Catholic School, 36 and 24; Suckling CO., 64. A match between teams from View Hill aud Hororata was played at Sheffield on Saturday, the teams meeting each other halfway. Unfortunately only seven of the Hororata men turned up, and they were assisted by four Sheffield men. Hororata went in first, and was disposed of for 34 runs. View Hill made 115 in their first innings. Hororata only succeeded in putting together 31 in their second innings, Clydesdale, with 11, being the only one to reach double figures. Olark and Feary, for View Hill, put together 28 and 25 respectively. The bowling of Turner and Beeves for View Hill was unexceptionally good, while Land, for Hororata, was the only bowler who came off at all.
