Messrs Lundon and Haybittle'a stock, valued at £4OOO, ia insured for £IOOO in tho South British (half being reinsurod), and the building for £6OO in the New Zealand. Tho Standard have a cover of £I3OO on Lundon'a stock, half of which is re-insured. NELSON, November 1. Accident. A serious trap accident occurred near Bishopdale last evening. Colonel and Mrß Nicholson were proceeding home to Richmond in a buggy, when the p3i'r of horses bolted, breaking the pole and dashing off with it and tho harness. The colonel was thrown out and was considerably hurt about tho head. Mrs Nicholson esoi»oed injury. DUNEDIN, November 1. Fire. The promises of Walter Holland, butcher, of Greytown, wore burnt yesterday. Nothing was saved. The building was insured in the Union for £2OO, and the effects for £ICO in the National.

She cleared Sydney Heads at 8 p m. on the 26th, and had light easterly and southerly winds, with fine weather to land ; thence fresh southerly breeze. Mr and Mrs Holland, Mrs Creamen, Miss Durdse, Messrs Holmes and Black ; steerage, 4. For Dunedin —Miss Braddock, Bteorage.
