[EEUTEB’S TELEGRAMS.] LONDON, October 28. Tlie Land Commission. An influential deputation of leading Irishmen waited yesterday upon Mr Gladstone, at Knowsley, to lay before him certain facta in connection with the payment of rent in Ireland. The Premier, in reply, stated that the Land Commission had so far shown that it worked well, and ha was hopeful that its decisions would result in securing permanent peace and prosperity to Ireland.
