[FROM OTJB CORRESPONDENT.] ASHBUETON, October 23. Agricultural ShowThe fourth annual exhibition took place today. Tho weather was splendid and there was a capital attendance. The entries numbered 43 i, being 10 psr-cent. moro than last year. Tho sheep, cattle, and horses were well but there was a slight deficiency in pigs. Tho merino sheep were especially good. Mr John McLean, who was awarded first prize for tho best merino ram above eighteen months, and Mr J. Pearson, wore so far the most successful competitors in merinos. ElectoralOn Thursday evening Mr J. C. Waaon, one of tho candidates for tho Wakanui constituency, addressed over one hundred electors in tho Temperance Hall, Tinwald. Mr Joseph Clark occupied the chair. A vote of thanks was unanimously accorded the candidate.
