MR WILSON’S MEETING.

To the Editor of the Globe, Sir, —In this morning’s issue of tho “ Press” it is stated that at Mr J. L. Wilson’s meeting at Merivale last night a vote of thanks and confidence was carried by a large majority. This is incorrect. The first part of tho resolution was certainly carried by a large majority ; the latter portion of the resolution, viz., that of confidence, was_ only carried by a show of hands amounting to about twelve at the outside. I shall feel obliged if you will kindly insert this in your issue of this evening, as it may lead many voters in the district to believe that Mr J. L. Wilson had the entire confidence of the large number of St. Albans voters who attended the meeting last night. Yours, &0., ONE WHO WAS PRESENT.
