Hilarious (says the Melbourno "Sportsman ") looking and going well, is being bustled along, and has done some very strong and long work. Sir Modred and Somnus, both looking very well, are also doing grand work in fine style. Idfilium, improving, is also being sent along. Mr Mayo has oommenoed proceedings against the Australian Jockey Club for disqualifying him. The proceedings are taken in accordance with a late amendment in tho equity law of New South Wales. Sa-.ta Claus came recently with a rush for the Derby and Cup, but not being placed at Oaulfield, has thrown him back.
