THE ELECTIONS.
Mr Andrews addresses the electors of Christchurch North to-night, at the Oddfellows’ Hall.
Mr Pilliet speaks at Bingsland schoolroom to-morrow, Mr Anderson at the Oddfellows’ Hall, and Mr Feryman at Frebbleton.
DUNEDIN, October 19,
Mr J. U. Davis, a candidate for Dunedin East, addressed the electors to-night. He supported the present Government generally. He opposed Bible reading in schools, and was in favor of the present Education Act. He was a free-trader. He did not think any alterations of the licensing 1 aw likely during the next Parliament. He thought that the present Act should got a fair trial, although it had the objection of Elective Commissioners with magisterial functions. He received a vote of confidence.
Oaptain Scott received a vote of confidence, after addressing a portion of the Boslyn constituency to-night.
