Moderately grateful for one year's vork, obliged to those who vill wote for me bin the oomeing helection, hand doubly obliged to those who vill hinduce a friend to support me, hand put me in reoeipt of the onorarium, say £2OO per year, vith malace toward none, becauso I ham resolved to do right hif I can. I vill stiok ard to the Government of the day, and wote vith them so long has they promise me a billet, I ham hambitious about the £2OO being put on committees, hand a billet. I came to Ohristchurch to make money. I can't do it onestly, but hif I am sent hup to the ouse at Wellington I will do whatt I can, I will wote for the working man's screw to be reduced another 10 per cent, hand I will wote for £3OO onorarium to hevery member of that ere ouse hin Parliament, hand I vill go hin for cheap popularity, like the member for Lyttelton. I vill wote £SO capitation mony on the ead of hevery Chinese man that is landed hon our shores, I will allow the females to go free, like our M.P. for Ohristohuroh, the working man (hand save the mark) the working man's friend. I will vote for the wife beater to be 'ighly recommended, hinstead of giving him thirty lashes, witch he 'ighly deservs for so doing. I will write to the Press to stop the cutting hof trees hin the workingman's bathing ground. I vill gaurantee oheap shoes to the workingman hif I get a portfolia has boss hof that department. I will abandon the jewelry business for a billet hon the railways, for wioh I ham well sooted. I will 'ave J. L. Willson to say prayers at the opening hof the 'ouse, while I sing Alleluia in three parts. I 'ope the people hail hover New Zealand will vote for hall new members hin the field, I do. I ham a hirish cokney, and if returned, has I know I will, I will keep Seddon hand Pyke hin their places. I can do a bit of the fisty cuffs hiff required. I vill wote for Teddy Bichardson to hold a portfolia, hand that be his Minister of Publio Works, he as been before, hand everything as been in a muddle since he was not. I will vote for hall the big bugs to have a advance of screw, hand hin conclusion I may remark that I ham hambitious for a billet hand the £2OO, hand I will guarantee not to mortgage hany part hof that money.
