MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following■ places (subject to the necessary alterakioos) as under :- SATDEDAY, OdOBEB 8. For Otogo, per Hawea, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard a van, 2.10 D.m. train. For United Kingdom, Continent a of Europe and America, West Indies, Cape ot Good Hope, Natal, &c (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, and Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, as follows :— Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 630 p.m.; money orders at 3 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train.
