MAIL NOTICES.
Mails olobo at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) aa under : SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24. For Northern Ports, per Wauaka, at 7.30 pm. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. FRIDAY. SEPTEMBER 30. For Bruce Bay, Haast River, and Jackson’s Bay, per West Coast mail, to connect at Hokitika with s.s. Waipars, at 7.30 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Sau Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on Saturday, October Bth, and will be due in London on November 23nd. Note —On and after M-.nday September 26th, a post-office will be opened at Flemington, near Ashburton. Mails will close at Christchurch each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7.30 a.m.. and arrive at Christchurch each Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 2.15 p m. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
