This lengthened experience has enabled me to become familiar with the conduct of Municipal affairs, and as I have now retired from business, my time is entirely my own. I shall therefore have great pleasure in accepting your flattering offer ; and, if elected, will make it my duty to place that time and such common sense and business knowledge as I may possess at your disposal. I have the honor to he, Gentlemen, Your obedient Servant, 9-23 9666 J. G. EDDDBNELAU.
