[press association telegram.] HOUSE OP REPRESENTATIVES, Thursday, September 22. MORNING SITTING. The House met at 11 a.m. QUESTIONS. Replying to Mr De Lautour, The Hon. W. Boeleston said all liabilities for volunteer uniforms incurred hona fido prior to the withdrawal of the capitation allowance would be provided for. Replying to Mr Harris, The Hon. J. Hall said the Papatoitai Point office had been removed to Woodside for reasons of economy, and that inquiries would be made as to the necessity for re-es-tablishing an office at the former place, THE REPRESENTATION BILL. A message was received from the Acting-
Governor, sending amendments in tho Representation Bill to have tho existing electoral rolls, and to provide that each of the new districts should, for the purpose of registration, be deemed to have been constituted six months.
The amendments wore agreed to. appropriation bill. The Appropriation Bill was introduced and road a first time.
On the motion for the second reading, Mr Sbddon spoke at great length upon the injustice proposed to be done to the West Coast in the matter of roads appropriation, Tho motion for the second reading was carried, the Bill considered in committee, passed through, and reported without amendment, and read a third time and passed. The House adjourned at 1.25 p.m.
