DUNEDIN, September 16. Political. Mr W. Green declines to stand for the c;ty electorates. Captain Baldwin is being asked to stand. Mr Dick will also contest one of the city electorate. Mr J. M. Dargavillo baa been appointed chairman and resident managing director of tbs East Coast Native Land and Settlement Company. Mr C. A. EeLautour, M.H R*> has been appointed secretary, retiring from his sea- at the Hoard. Messrs Deuniston and Grant, of Oamaru, have been appointed surveyors and engineers to the company. Ins directors attended a large meeting of Natives at lologa Bay on Wednesday, when it was unanimously agreed to place a number of blocks in the company.
