DUNEDIN, September 7. Fatal AccidentPeter Adamson, a farmer of the Taiori, was killed by the wheels of his dray passing over him. He was aged thirty, and leaves a wife and three children. [from our own correspondent.] ASHBURTON, September 7. Caution, to LibellersMr Joseph Ivess intends to file a criminal information against F. P. O’Reilly as author of the anonymous letter which appeared in tho “ Ashburton Guardian ” of Friday last referring to Ivess’ conduct in regard to the proposed Ashburton Co-operative Association. A writ has been served on Mr Friedlander, who, by an oversight, is still the registered proprietor of the “Guardian.” But in respect of this writ, it is not unlikely that an amicable arrangement will be arrived at. Later. The “ Guardian” having consented to publish an apology, a friendly arrangement is concluded as far as concerns J. Ivess and M. Friedlander and W. H. Zouoh, but the criminal information against O’Reilly will take its.course.
