The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Thursday, August 25th, wore as follows : Spirits, .£l7B 14s 2d ; wine, £26 13s ; sugar, £35 3s lOd; tea, £ls 17s 8d ; goods by weight, £287 18s lid; ad valorem, £1727 3s; other duties, £126 2s Bd. Total, £2397 l?s 3d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Thurrday, August 25th, sales were made as follows: — Ordinary Ashley, 92a ; Selwyn. 136 a lr ; Akaroa, 36a 3r 8p; Waimate, 191 a 2r 3p. Deferred payments, village settlements, la. Total acreage sold, 457 a 2r lip. Total cash received, £921 2s 9d. Refunds on account of former purchases were made in the amount of £733 lls.
