New Zealand securities continue firm at the following quotations :—Five Per Cent. 10-40 Loan, 104 ; Five Per Cent. 1889 Loan, 103 , Four and a-half Per Cent. 1879-1904 Loan, 100 J, The demand for Australian and Now Zealand breadstuffs continues, and to-day’s quotations show a farther advance of Is. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 57 5; New Zealand wheat, ex ship, 56s 6d; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, is unchanged at 40s 6d. At the wool auction to-day, 9200 bales were catalogued, and a firm and active demand was experienced. The present series of wool sales will terminate on 14th October. The fourth series commence on 22nd November.
