The New Zealand Shipping Company’s chartered barque Boutenbeck, Captain Stitt, arrived yesterday from London, after a good passage of eighty-nine days. The voyage was an uneventful one, no vessels whatever being spoken, and nothing of importance having transpired on board from the date of leaving to arrival. The report of the master is that the Bontenheck left London on Jane Ist; took the N.E. trades in 30 N. and crossed the equator on the 25th of June in 29.30 W. Had the S.E. trades fresh to 28 S , and passed the meridian of the Cape of Good Hope on the 18th July in 40.30 S. Got the usual weather running down the easting, between the 40th and 43rd parallels, and crossed the meridian of Cape Leawin on August 7th in 46 S. Had three days easterly weather there, and passed Tasmania on the 15th' August, sighting the Snares last Friday. Since had variable winds and calms. The vessel has a full general cargo, but brought no passengers. She is an iron barque, bnilt at Whitehaven seven years ago, and is owned by Mr J. Davidson, of Harrington.
