Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as nnder : TUESDAY, AUGUST 23. For Northern Ports per Ringarooma, at 11.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, 11.40 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p m train. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24. For Otigo, per Penguin, at 11.30 am. ; late fee letters, 11.40 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 pa. train.
Notice.—The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close en Saturday, September 10th, and will be due in Lonacn on October 25th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
