Ward, drowned in Oamaru Creek, near Okarito, was found this morning on the beach at Arahura, north of Hokitika, upwards of seventy miles from where he was drowned. The head, which was severed from the body, was picked up near the spot where the body was found. The latter was greatly mutilated. An inquest will bo held to-day, and the remains will be buried on Wednesday by the Masons, of which ho was a member. GBEYMOUTH, August 15. The Gold Export Duty.
