Mails cloße at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the neoessary alterations) as under -. TUESDAY, AUGUST 16. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Te Anau. at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m. : guard s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Napier, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanafca, at 7.30 p.m. Guard's van must not be used for this mail. THURSDAY, AUGUST 18. For Australian Colonies and United Kingdom via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de Galle, India, China, Japan, the East, Aden. Mauritius, Cape of Good Hope, Natal, &c, per express train to connect with s.s. Te Anau, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 7 a.m.; booEE and newspapers, at 6 a.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th; money orders, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th ; late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post Office van attached to the express train on Thursday, August 18th. MONDAY, AUGUST 22. For West Coaßt Sounds, per Express, to connect with s.b. Stella at the Bluff, at 7 a.m. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
