Mails dose at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : SATURDAY, AUGUST 13. For United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, &c. (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand,Fiji Islands, &c., per Taiaroa, as follows: —Ordinary letters at 6.50p.m,; late fee letters, at 7 p m. ; books and newspapers, at 6 30 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 P.m.; money orders at 3 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be dne in London on September 27th. MONDAY, AUGUST 15. For Westport, per Beautiful Star, at 11.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.30 am.; guard’s van, 12,10 p.m. train. TUESDAY, AUGUST 16. For JNorthern Ports, per Wanaba, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p m.guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Te Anau, at 1.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
