The Union Steamship Company’s s su Penguin arrived at noon yesterday from Port Chalmers, and loft last evening for the North. The Union Steamship Company.s s.s. Wakatipu arrived at 6.30 a.m. yesterday from Wellington and Sydney, and left for Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. The ateam-tng Lyttelton will leave to-day for Wellington. She will thero be placed on the slip and overhauled. The vessel has done an immense amonnt of work since her machinery was thoroughly put through the engineer’s hands, so that her absence from here of from ten to fourteen days will be fully occupied in getting the vessel into unexceptionable order. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, August 12. Arrived—Algoa Bay, from Glasgow. Sailed Go-Ahead, for the Sooth ; Sophia Lnhrs, for Newcastle. Sailed—Camille, for Lyttelton ; Mazeppa, for Rarotonga. Wellington, August 12. Tho barque Algoa Bay, hundred days from Glasgow, with a cargo of waterworks’ plant, arrived this morning. Post Chalsiees, August 12. Arrived—Wanaka, from tho North; Ethel, from Hokianga ; Wave, from tho North. Sailed —Lyttelton, ship, for Oregon.
