Finally, a motion was carried, unanimously declaring that kerosene is tho sole illuminating ingredient in Dixon’s gas. SYDNEY, August 12. The Milbmn Creek Copper Company Vote Mr E. A. Baker, Minister of M'nes, has resigned his portfolio, in consequence of the recent debate in the Legislative Assembly regarding the expenditure of the vote to the Milburn Creek Copper Company. Mr Julian Salamons has been appointed sole Royal Commissioner to inquire into the charges which have been made in this affair.
