The conference also passed a resolution that a Bill should be introduced in Parliament for vesting the existing dock and port harbor reserves in a trust, with the object of facilitating the construction of the proposed dock. The chairmen of the Harbor Board, Chamber of Commerce, and the Mayors of Dunedin and Port Chalmers were appointed a deputation to proceed to Wellington on Monday, to cooperate with Mr Macandrew on the matter.
