DEAR SIR, —In compliance with your instructions we have made a searching analysis of the six samples of tea handed to us, and we find the following main result, viz. : Ash, 4£ per cent. ; soluble salts, 4 per cent ; extract, 54 per cent. ; and thelne, 2i per cent. This shows them to be Absolutely Pure, Coffee labled Mo. 1 is genuine, No. 2 shows a trace of chicory only. Each of the above prodnces a blight, palatable, appetising liquor, and we strongly recommend them to the public as the most nutritions and invigorating that has hitherto come under our notice. We have, &c, GOLLD & CO., Chemists, Colombo street. July 26th, IESI. The above samples were taken indiscriminately from bulk at present in stock, and are exactly the same as I supply to my customers. If the public will hereafter patronise vendors in spnrions teas and poisonous coffee they will have themselves only to blame. 9102 D. STRANAGHAN. 1 "THE KIWI" | J ÜBAL _t!
