MAIL NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3.
For Otago, Australian Colonies, India, China, &c. (and the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, if specially addressed), per express train (to connect with Botorua), at 7 a m. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 1.45 p m : late fee letters, at 2 pm.; guard’s ▼an, 2 40 p.m. train. Notice.—The next mail for the United Kingdom, &o , via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, August 13th, This mail will be due in Loudon on September 27th. Note.—Prom Ist August the Post-Office at Coalgate will be open for the issne and payment of money orders. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
