MAIL NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under TUESDAY, AUGUST 2. Otago and Australian Colonies, per express train (to connect with Eingarooma), at 7 a.m. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Botoma, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 4.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 7.30 p.m. The guard’s van must not bo nsed for this mail. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3. For Otago, Australian Colonies, India, China, &c., and the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, if specially addressed, per express train (to connect with Eotorna), at 7 a.m. Not ce.—The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c , via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, August 13th. This mail will be due in London on September 27th. Note.—From Ist August the Post-Office at Coalgate will be open for tbe issue and payment of money orders.
