Mails close at the Chief Poet Office for tho following places (snbject to the necessary alterations) aa under : SATURDAY, JULY 30. For Northern Ports, per Hawoa. at 7.30 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, AUGUST 1. For Westporfc, per Beautiful Star, at 11.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, at 11.40 a.m ; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. TUESDAY, AUGUST 2. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Fotorna, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 4.35 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. Notice.—The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c, via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, August 13th. This mail will be due in London on September 27th. Note.—From Ist Anguat the Poat-Office at Coalgate will be open for the issue and payment of money orders. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
