In the House of Commons to-day a motion introduced by Sir Michael Hicks Beach, censuring the Government for the terms of peace concluded in March last with the Transvaal Boers was, after a lengthy debate, rejected by a majority of 109, the voting being 314 to 205. PARIS, July 25. Bombardment of Cabes. Telegrams are to hand from Tunis announcing that, in consequence of the hostile attitude of the Arab tribes at Cabes, on the Tunisian coast, the French war vessels are now engaged ia bombard ing the town.
