MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— TUESDAY, JULY 26. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7 30 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. WEDNESDAY, JULY 27. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 3.20 p.m. : late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Australian Colonies and United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (specially addressed correspondence only), per express train, to connect with a.s. Albion, as follows; Ordinary letters, at 7 a.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6 a.m. ; registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27th; money orders, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27th ; late fee letters may he posted in the travelling Pott Office van attached to the express train on Thursday, July 2Sth. Note. —Prom Ist August the Post-Office at Coalgate will bo open for the issue and payment of money orders. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
