Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under . FRIDAY, JULY 22. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van. 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Grafton, at 12.15 p.m.; late fee letters, at 12.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. SATURDAY, JULY 23, For Northern porta, per Taiaroa, at 7.30 p.m. The guard’s van must not bo used for this mail.
