Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under THURSDAY, JULY 21. For Otago and Akaroa, per Penguin and Wanaka, at 11.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, at 11.40 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Eotorua, at 320 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.50 p.m. ; guard’s van. 4 p.m. train. For Otago, per Bowen, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Wellington, Australian Colonies, United Kingdom via Bnndiai (specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point do Galle, India, China, Japan, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean ports,. Ac., Ac., per Wakatipu, as follows: Ordinary letters, at 7 p.m.; late fee letters, at 730 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 5 p.m. ; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; money orders, at 4 p.m.; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train.
